About this countdown
This countdown targets Earth Day on Thursday, April 22, 2027, set by the rule: April 22. It runs on your device's clock and counts to midnight at the start of the day.
Earth Day is an observance rather than a public holiday, so offices, banks and schools keep their normal hours. Nobody gets a paid day off for it, though plenty of people mark it anyway. Earth Day is an annual environmantal observance on April 22, first held in 1970. It is not a federal or state holiday, so offices, schools, banks and mail service run normally while communities hold cleanups, tree plantings and teach-ins.
