What this site is — and is not

HolidayTake publishes holiday dates, countdowns and related reference information for general use. It is not legal advice, payroll advice, tax advice or travel advice, and it is not an official government publication. Holiday observance depends on statutes, annual proclamations, employer policies and local decisions that can change after a page was written.

Accuracy and your duty to verify

We take accuracy seriously: dates are computed from the governing rules, checked against official schedules, and corrected when readers report problems. Even so, errors can occur — whether accidental, unintentional or otherwise — and dates for years beyond officially published schedules are projections. You must verify any date or claim with the relevant government office or your employer before relying on it. The information is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. If something on the site is not working or looks wrong, do not rely on it; check the primary source and tell us.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, holidaytake.com, its owner and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind — including missed appointments, travel costs, payroll errors, lost profits or any indirect or consequential loss — arising from use of the site, reliance on its content, or the site's unavailability, however caused. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.

Permitted use

You're welcome to browse the site, subscribe to its calendar feeds, download the CSV and PDF lists for personal or internal business use, embed the countdown widget, and link to any page. You may not republish the site's articles, scrape it at scale, resell its data as your own, or use it in a way that interferes with its operation. The dates themselves are facts and remain free for anyone to use.

Advertising and third parties

Ads are supplied by third parties and are their advertisers' responsibility; a product appearing in an ad is not our endorsement. Pages link to external sources whose content we don't control.

Third-party links and sources

Holiday pages cite government schedules, statutes, archives and reference works so you can check anything yourself. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content or availability, and a link is not an endorsement. Where an external source and our own calculation disagree, treat the official source as authoritative and please tell us so we can investigate.

Availability

The site is provided on an "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, restrict or discontinue any page, feed, download or tool at any time and without notice, including features you currently rely on. Scheduled maintenance, hosting faults, network problems and traffic spikes can all take the site offline without warning, and we accept no responsibility for any consequence of that. Nothing on this site should be built into a process that fails badly if the site is unreachable.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms at any time by posting the new version here, and the version published on this page is the one that applies. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
