Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026

This page explains what information holidaytake.com collects when you visit, what it gets used for, and the choices you have. The short version: we run no accounts, no sign-ups, and no tracking of our own. What data handling exists comes from ordinary web hosting and from the advertising that keeps the site free, and both are described below.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, our hosting server records standard technical details for each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp. These logs help us keep the site running and spot abuse. They are kept for a limited period and then deleted, and we do not use them to identify individual visitors.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you type are emailed to us so we can reply. They are not stored in a database on the site, added to any mailing list, or shared with anyone else.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) and web beacons to serve and measure ads based on prior visits to this or other websites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and out of many other vendors' personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Details of how Google uses data from sites that use its services are at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message appears before any personalized advertising is shown, asking whether cookies and personal data may be used for that purpose. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the privacy settings link at the bottom of the page or by clearing your browser's cookies. If you decline, ads still appear but are limited to non-personalized ads, which use cookies only for basics such as frequency capping and fraud prevention.

U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal and pass restricted data processing signals to Google where required. The advertising opt-out links above apply here as well.

Calendar feeds and downloads

Subscribing to an iCal feed or downloading a CSV or PDF sends an ordinary web request that appears in our server logs like any page view. Nothing comes back to us from your calendar app. The embeddable countdown widget works the same way: a site that embeds it causes a normal page request to our server, and we collect nothing about that site's visitors beyond the standard log entry.

Children

The site is meant for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Links elsewhere

Holiday pages cite government and reference sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don't control.
