About this countdown
This countdown targets Pioneer Day on Saturday, July 24, 2027, set by the rule: July 24. It runs on your device's clock and counts to midnight at the start of the day.
Pioneer Day is a state holiday, so the date matters for more than the celebration — government offices close and many employers follow suit. Pioneer Day is a Utah state holiday on July 24 marking the 1847 arrival of Mormon pioners in the Salt Lake Valley. Utah state offices, courts and many businesses close; it is not a federal holiday, so mail, banks and federal offices run as usual.
